British Llama Society Social at Catanger Llamas
Sunday 8th August 2010
Mary and David Pryse have kindly offered to host a social event open to all members of the British Llama Society and their families on Sunday 8th August starting at about 10.30 am.
As many of you will know Mary and David run a llama breeding and trekking business and have recently moved into a new eco-friendly house on their llama farm which also has a new visitor centre.
The day is meant to be an opportunity for members to get together and indulge in some “llama chat”. Mary has offered to organise a one hour trek round their lovely farm and woods using their famous trekking llamas and there will also be a Q and A session (Llama Question Time!) where anyone can ask questions of an experienced panel of llama owners. We may even be able to get a vet to join us but this is not confirmed at present. Another suggestion is a short talk and demonstration on how to prepare your llama for the show ring.
However the day is fluid and other suggestions for interesting topics would be welcome!
Please let Mary know if you are coming so that she can be certain that there will be enough parking and tea and coffee. If anyone would like to camp on their property on the Saturday evening they would be most welcome and Mary and David would host a barbeque. There are showers and toilets in the visitor centre.
Please note the Catanger is a closed herd so we cannot bring our llamas.
Please bring your own picnic lunch and folding chairs.
Please contact Mary by letter, e-mail or phone
