I have a llama with very long teeth indeed. Not only does it look unsightly, but it seems to me it is interfering with his eating. He seems to take much longer than the rest of the herd to finish off his ration of hard feed, for example. Does anyone know if teeth can be shortened, to the benefit of the llama?

Our 12 year old gelded male had the same problem a couple of years ago. The vet mildly sedated him and took off about half to three quarters of an inch off the front incisors.
