X-Ray Diagnosis for bovine TB Empty X-Ray Diagnosis for bovine TB

I see that some alpaca breeders are choosing to x-ray their animals routinely as a precautionary measure for early detection of btb.Can anyone tell me how efficacious this might be please as it seems to have lots of plus points : unlike the btb skin test and blood test it does not have to involve Defra : it is non-invasive and is less likely to result in spitting by a potentially infected animal : it could potentially be more accurate as the skin test is reknowned for failing to pick up the presence of the disease whilst the blood test is reknowned for mistakenly detecting the disease when it is not actually present.

Somehow this option seems too simple to be the solution to reliable testing , but can anybody comment on this please ?

Please see post by registrar in Llama Health in the Members area of forum regarding this-there are some very interesting observations made by an alpaca breeder who has used this method of TB diagnosis in her herd.
